Dear Parents

FoDS Charity Christmas Fayre
Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to the FoDS team for organising such a successful Christmas Fayre last Friday, another in the line of very successful events under the stewardship of Chair, Sarah Schiel, and her indefatigable committee.  Thank you also to all the parents and pupils (including the Carol Singers) who supported the event. The final figure for funds raised for Julia’s House will be with us soon.  I hope you all enjoy the FoDS Christmas Party this evening at West Beach in Bournemouth.

Gala Concerts
Well done to all the pupils who have prepared for the Junior Gala Concert this evening.  We are looking forward to a range of instruments on show with some impressive ensembles and solo pieces.  Thank you in advance to the peripatetics and Sue Watkiss, the Director of Music.

Sports Reports
Despite the frosty ground we still managed to get most of our fixtures played on Wednesday. Well done to the U13A and U12A  rugby sides who won 50-10 and 50-5 respectively against Castle Court.  Congratulations also to the senior girls’ hockey teams, with the 1st VII , 2nd VII and 3rd VII recording positive 3-0, 5-2 and 3-3 scorelines (respectively) against Sherborne Prep.  Good luck now to the senior boys cross country runners who are already travelling to Formby, Lancashire to run in the English Schools Cross Country National Championships on Saturday.  We will report back next week.

Filming Christmas Plays
Due to popular demand we have again made plans to film all five Christmas performances with Curtain Call Productions – allowing everyone to sit back and enjoy the show.  Order forms should be with you already but please let us know at the Front Desk if you need any more details.

Yours sincerely
Andrew Browning
