Dumpton has a rich history, being founded in 1903 in Broadstairs, Kent as a boys' preparatory boarding school. The school's pupils were evacuated to Dorset during the Second World War, and the school itself was moved to Cranborne Chase in 1945. After a spell at Gaunt's House just north of Wimborne, the school finally took situ at Deans Grove in 1987. By this time the school had added a Pre- Prep and become co-educational, and it soon became a thriving day school. 

We now celebrate the 120th year of Dumpton and invite all our Dumpton community to join us in a Summer Ball, Saturday 18th May 2024.

We warmly invite you and your friends to celebrate in style. With a drinks reception, three course sit down meal (dietary requirements all catered for), a live band, a disco and a bar, all taking place in a beautiful marquee on the school grounds, it is set to be a wonderful evening. Black tie optional.
